Woods Radiology

Woods Radiology is a state-of-the-art private diagnostic imaging center located in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda, specializing in advanced radiology services to support medical care in the region. ounded by Dr. Jason Belizaire, a radiologist, the facility opened its doors in late 2021 with the goal of providing high-quality, timely diagnostic imaging to reduce the strain on the public healthcare system, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The center offers a range of services, including X-rays, computerized tomography (CT) scans, digital ultrasounds, and mammograms, utilizing world-class digital equipment for accurate detection and diagnosis of various conditions, such as breast tissue abnormalities and internal organ issues. Key equipment includes a mammogram machine (one of only a few in the country), a CT-scan for detailed imagery of organs and bones, an X-ray system with wireless digital transmission, and a digital ultrasound system, all housed in radiation-protected rooms compliant with safety guidelines. Images are stored in a central database for efficient access and sharing.

Situated at Woods Centre on Friars Hill Road, Woods Radiology features modern, comfortable waiting areas accommodating up to 16 people.  The facility employs a dedicated team, including radiologists, radiographers, ultrasound technicians, and administrative staff. Dr. Belizaire received government support through duty-free concessions to equip the center, and he remains committed to adopting future advancements in radiology to maintain cutting-edge services.
