Established in 1964, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) stands as the central pillar of Barbados' public healthcare system. As the island's only tertiary care referral center, we are entrusted with providing comprehensive, advanced medical and surgical services to the nation. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a compassionate and efficient manner, guided by the principles of excellence, integrity, and innovation.

Located in the capital city of Bridgetown, the QEH is a 600-bed facility that functions as both a primary acute care hospital for the surrounding community and a specialized hub for the entire Eastern Caribbean. Our extensive range of services includes, but is not limited to:

• Specialized Medical & Surgical Care: Cardiology, Nephrology, Oncology, Neurology, and Orthopedics.
• Critical Care Services: A state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Emergency & Trauma Care: Operating the nation's primary 24-hour Accident & Emergency Department.
• Diagnostic & Therapeutic Support: Advanced Imaging (MRI, CT Scan), Pathology, and Pharmacy services.
• Academic & Training Hub: As a key teaching hospital affiliated with the University of the West Indies, we are committed to training the next generation of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and research.
